Palacio Real de Madrid
I decided to start my morning with the tour of the Royal Palace of Madrid! The Royal Palace of Madrid (Spanish: Palacio Real de Madrid) is the official residence of the Spanish Royal Family at the city of Madrid, although now only used for state ceremonies. The palace has 135,000 square metres (1,450,000 sq ft) of floor space and contains 3,418 rooms. During the tour we got to see 25 of those rooms. It was such an experience! My tour lasted 2 hours for $42 from Get Your Guide online, or you can download the app for free. If you want a photo in front of the palace just like this, then you have to pay to get inside. At the end there is a cafeteria & gift shop you walk through. It should be on anyone’s list when visiting Madrid.
El Retiro Park
The Buen Retiro Park, Retiro Park or simply El Retiro is one of the largest parks of the city of Madrid, Spain. The park belonged to the Spanish Monarchy until the late 19th century, when it became a public park. If you just want to do something for free, this park will definitely take up your free time to explore. My first photo is outside the Palacio de Cristal, which is free to see inside. The whole park is unique, and you can spend hours in it.
Temple of Debod
Want to see some Egyptian ancient history? The Temple of Debod is an ancient Egyptian temple that was dismantled and rebuilt in Madrid, Spain. It’s another landmark you can visit for free!
Barrio de La Latina
The La Latina neighborhood has many colorful streets that will catch your eye by walking through. It is Madrid’s oldest and most fun neighborhood to explore. This picture is in the area of Calle de la Cava Baja & Calle Grafal.
Airbnb Terrace or Balcony
Any Airbnb with a balcony is gorgeous! Also this one was great to people watch as well! The listing for this one was called ‘New Studio Atocha-Sol-Centre-Wifi-A/C’, and the best part is that this was right next to the train and metro station. It was in the perfect location! You can sign up and find the studio here.
