If you are heading out of town or even heading to Orlando through the Southwest gates, you will not miss the gorgeous Cask & Larder restaurant, bar & market with it’s beautiful tree & layout. Cask & Larder is located in Terminal A (Gates 100-129) so you don’t have to fly Southwest to enjoy it. I got to visit the restaurant before I headed to Spain. They are a Southern inspired restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch & dinner. They originally opened in Winter Park, Fl but now located in the airport which they are now in the top 10 airport bars/restaurants to visit in the United States. The owners, James and Julie Petrakis, also opened The Ravenous Pig (2007) and Swine & Sons, both in Winter Park, as well as The Polite Pig in Disney Springs.
The whole atmosphere of Cask & Larder is super inviting & welcoming. It’s very quiet & relaxing. The menu has so many great options, it’s hard to pick. I ordered a Whiskey Smash for my drink, the Pimento Cheese as my snack, the Shrimp & Grits for lunch, and with milk chocolate ice cream with cookie crumble as a dessert. The staff was absolutely amazing on always checking on me and making sure I was okay. This is definitely a restaurant you want to visit while at the Orlando International Airport.
