Margaritaville Resort Orlando

Once I heard about the opening of the new Margaritaville Resort in Orlando; I had to stay there for at least a night. I heard it was opening a 14-acre water park, a shopping district with a movie theater dine in, and pool style lagoons. Once I got there, I noticed those weren’t open yet, and they will be opening Spring of 2019. Luckily the nightly rates are pretty affordable right now because they aren’t fully open. So if you wanted to book it, I suggest as soon as possible.

As I check in at the lobby, there were greeters everywhere and entertainment outside with dancers on stilts. It was very lively for sure. When I got my room number and headed over to my building, I noticed every room was facing the pools, which is definitely a plus. Also every room has a balcony, so you don’t even need to upgrade to the suite. My standard room came with a king sized bed and a small refrigerator. You can see how spacious it was through the pictures. I ended up going back downstairs for dinner & drinks at the On Vacation Cafe. It’s a very casual dinning area that’s open for breakfast, lunch & dinner. I eventually just sat the bar and made friends with the bartender & another lady who was there for business. I ordered the loaded nachos & mango spiced daiquiri. I definitely recommend both of them. I went back upstairs for the rest of the night, and I will say I didn’t like the bed only because it’s too firm. So if you like firm beds, this is for you.

Next morning, I woke up and ordered room service which was delivered within fifteen minutes and I was very impressed. Now they don’t come in with fancy trays or anything, but they could in the future since they are still in the process of being fully opened. I checked out at 11am and explored the hotel. There is also a nicer restaurant for dinning upstairs in the lobby called Euphoria, and a convenience store on the other side of it. A spa and a fitness center will be opening, and there is also an option where you can buy your own cottage (which is great for staycations!). I headed to the pool and made more friends with the waiters and bartenders. The loaded Jamaican fries that I ordered was absolutely amazing. I chilled there for about two hours then headed home.

This place will be definitely be a hit once it’s fully opened. Everything around it is walkable distance so if you wanted to go shopping, it’s a five minute walk. Everyone at the hotel was super friendly. I definitely would come back again in the future.
