Cabana Bay Beach Resort

For my 30th birthday, I decided to do a staycation at Cabana Bay Beach Resort which is located right next door to Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and steps away from water park Volcano Bay. Every year I get tickets for Universal & IOA so I wanted to experience staying near the amusement parks like a tourist. The hotel has a complimentary shuttle that takes you to City Walk until 2am in the morning. Cabana Bay is a retro inspired hotel of the late 50’s and early 60s that takes you back in style.

I was very grateful that we could check in early at 10am, most places the room isn’t even ready that early. So once we were checked in, my best friend & I hopped onto the shuttle and headed to the parks for the rest of the day. Which I will say the shuttle arrives every 5-10 mins and is super fast. We stayed on the side where it has the lazy river pool and fire pit. The other side of the hotel has a pool with a slide & cabanas. It’s not a small hotel, so be ready to walk 20 minutes to get to the other side.

While I was there, I decided to do a retro photoshoot in the room. I have always wanted to do a vintage photoshoot, and it was literally the perfect place. Details about outfit are under shop my look. My high waisted swimsuit is from https://havanaswims.com.

Outside in both courtyards there are bars & grills but they are only open for lunch & dinner. Inside there is a Bayliner Diner that is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Next to that is the Starbucks cafe, and that is always in handy if you need your coffee fix. Upstairs they have it’s own bowling alley with a restaurant, and next door to it is the fitness center. This is definitely more of a family hotel, but if you go in January like me, and it won’t be too crowded at all. Cabana Bay is must for families coming to Orlando to visit.
