Back in June of 2017, I had the opportunity to visit Nashville during CMA Fest. I love country music and always wanted to visit the city, needless to say I fell in love. I stayed in this cute Airbnb cottage called “Sunny Artist’s Cottage”, which was for sure music themed all around the interior of the house. It was only me, but five other people could have stayed with me.
The only reason why I went to Nashville during that week was because Chase Rice was performing at the CMA Fest, and as a photographer I have had the pleasure of photographing his shows & getting to know his band while they come to Orlando, Fl. So luckily I had some friends I knew while I was in town, but I did some exploring on my own.
The top two things you should do is go see the Nashville Gulch and “I believe in Nashville” mural outside of Reese Witherspoon’s clothing store which is called Draper James. Very popular sites to see, but it’s definitely a must! Also I found a cute hole in the wall coffee shop called Three Brothers Coffee. It had a cool mural wall that I had to take a photo of myself by it.
The last day while I was in town was when I got to go enjoy the CMA Fest. I was visiting for a total of five days, and wished I could have stayed longer. CMA Fest is a free four day country festival (but there are shows you have to pay including the ones at the football stadium). Even though I didn’t have a ticket for some of the bigger artists, it was very fun just to walk around town and enjoy the live music. I did pay $10 at the last minute for some meet & greets. It was worth it since I got to meet Michael Ray & Chris Lane.
Nashville is definitely a place I would go back to visit since I couldn’t hit up all the tourist spots. But it was a trip that was worth it and memorable. Xoxo
